Default Powerbelt email

Email i sent to Powerbelt bullets.
Hello, Im trying to get an idea on the performance i > am getting out of my rifle with a powerbelt. > Im shooting a deer creek northwest rifle with a 32" > long barrel, a 225 grain aerotip powerbelt and 100 > grains FFFg Goex blackpowder. > > I looked on the website and it does not give the > performance #'s when you are using an aerotip with > loose powder.

Response,
Jon Sorry about that. We developed the .45 cals. for use with Pellet type powder. Usually we have to reduce the Powder charge when using loose powder, somewhere between 60 and 90 grains. The Gas Checks were designed to beak away and when we use loose powder medium charges it will sometimes 'partially' break away. If you are getting good accuracy then the 100 grain charge of Black Powder will be the equivalent of 85 to 90 grains of Pyrodex. Unfortunately we do not have those specific ballistic data. The M.V. will be just a little less than the 100 grains of Pyrodex Pellets. Thank you.

I guess this email explains the Flyers people complain about due to the gas check not coming off the bullet when using higher powder charges. Now if we could get these Magnum charging guys to cut back their powder, they'll start having success with a powerbelt and leave massive blood trails like the one i got with the 225 aerotip.

Whoa, Sorry bout that, Not sure where all that script came from lol.
