I just bought an older recurve. I' ve been shooting a longbow and didn' t use a bowstringer.
Has anyone used the type that goes around your ankle, made of nylon and there is a space that the tip fits in. You use the step-thru method, just that the tip is in this loop and is free. Are these safe or are the tip to tip, long ones, that you put your foot on and pull on the handle safer?
