I have found that bucks like to travel mid day scent checking doe bedding areas. They also like moving from woods to woods at the closet point of entry. Thin strips of timber along fields is also good at mid day. If you hunt in the morning any spot is good its the rut and anything can happen. Find the does and you'll find the bucks. If you see a lot of fawns that might be the wrong area. Hunting rubs and scapes I wouldn't bother with.
