RE: TC renegade question
Renegade has no brass at all on the stock:The hawkens has a brass patched box and if there is a K in the serial number yes it was built as a kit.
The older t/c guns are excellent if you are lucky to have a 4 digit serial number and check the underside of the barrel for a stamp spade or heart then it is a Sharon barrel other barrel maker for t/c were Douglas a another great barrel from early gun made by t/c
I have 2 barrel both made by Douglas and both with the 1 in 48 twist shoot heavy charges of goex 3F and both are tack drivers with RB'S
