About the 48yrd shot not for me! I have taken a few deer with long shots but i have also lost a deer or twofor that same reason.
I have learned not to take shots out my effective range even though i practice long shots don`t mean i will take on on an live animal.
Other hunters may be better shot`s than me at long distance`s but i think each hunter needs to know there limitations and not ever compriomize them no matter what size game there hunting.
