The reason that most of the wma land is going to this is beacause of the state and swfwmd wanting to go to a "near zero" hog population. Due to the mass destruction the hogs are causing to the habitat.
A few years ago SWFWMD was allowing a special Hog hunton Green Swamp in May. I went a couple of times and could not take the Humidity & Heat...
I think it could be good for a while but I am kindof iffy about the long term affects for those who truly love to hunt hogs and can only rely on public land to support there passions for it.
