How many lugs on any two lug factory action actually seat correctly ? I am not convinced either that all the nine lugs seat exactly on a Weatherby but I have no doubt in my mind that it is by far the stronger action...it is a forging vs a round piece of steel that has been heat treated. In the event of a cartridge rupture I would rather have the Weatherby thank you. If the 2 lug is such a great action then why did Kenny Jarrett design a 3 lug action and not use Remingtons anymore? He noticed that multi-lug actions are more accurate, thats why. I don' t know what gunsmiths you are referring to but I happen to know quite a few extremely good gunsmiths which I would put up against any gunsmith your referring to and to the man they say there is nothing wrong with a Weatherby action except its pricier for the initial action. In fact one that I am working with now on a new Rifle does not willingly build on a Remington action but prefers Winchester 70(push feed or CRF) and Weatherbys . I am not referring to 1300 dollar Weatherbys either...if you had read my previous posts I am referring to the lower end MKvs which are priced maybe 100-150 dollars higher than Remington.

Another point I am not brand loyal to anyone I have guns from other manufacturers lets see Winchester,ruger,Sako and browning including my last remington 700 classic in 300 win mag. The minute they drop in quality I don' t buy them anymore period. I don' t suck up and believe everything that is advertised out there . I have enough mechanical knowledge because of my background to not buy something that is not well made. I am not a brainwashed member of " Remington Country" as you obviously are. If you like them keep them and good luck in your hunting and shooting endeavors...My Money and time will be spent on other firearms.
