I get down when I can't make a good shot..Sometimes thats the legal hours and sometimes it's earlier. Depends on the skies and the area I'm hunting (thick woods it's dark much earlier).

A couple times this year I've been trapped till well after dark by deer feeding under and around me. I'll try an exit when none are near. Sometimes they just won't leave, and I'm not gonna spend the night in the stand.
