I always go after the coyotes hard in February.... That is when the males "rut" so to speak and like bucks, they lower their defenses looking for females.... I go to a processor or butcher and get a 5 gallon bucket full of chicken guts.... dump them atop one of my fields, set up about 50 yards in favor of the wind, and paly predator calls.... On a good day we have picked off 4-5 coyotes.
I have never not had at least one coyote come in to the smell of fresh chicken guts....
The yotes are definitley under control on my property.
