It sounds like the same sopt I hit my doe 3 weeks ago. High under the spine just abit. She bled like crazy at first and then just dwindled down to nothing. I looked up and she was laying about 50 yards away. She went about 100 yards. The arrow was still in her, it didnt go all the way through. I too made about a 30-35 yard shot and was using the Rage 3 blade. Dont give up, he might just be bundled up close by.
