To answer your question,IMO, really depends on what restrictions you have in the State(s) you hunt, your budget, inline or traditionaland what gun feels best when shouldering it. CVA makes some decent guns. The CVA Wolf and Optima are of the same design but the Optima is longer and a little more refined. There is a wealth of information in the blackpowder forum.
