Also, you can't "officially" score anything until it's gone through the 60 day drying period. I've seen several articles about how it was "officially" scored already, which are wrong. Doesn't matter if an official scorer put his tape on it or not, it doesn't mean anything for 60 days.
Of course you are right. I think the point is this deer has been measured by an official measurer and not Billy Bob and Jimmy Joe with a steel tape and their shoes off!

I would assume that the vast majority of the members of this forum are fully aware that nothing is official until the 60 day drying period is up. Even then, it may come down to a panel score. Remember the Zaft Buck?
