Yes it is good to sight them in for 1" high at 100. What we do is shoot one shot at 100 and then with the gun on a rest move it until the crosshairs line up with the hole. Then adjust the scope until the crosshairs line up with the bullseye. you have to do this without moving the gun. We can usually get them sighted in that way in less than 5 shots total.
