Thank you guys for all of your replies. You don't know how bad I wanted to go out and look for him yesterday afternoon. But I stuck to my guns. Plus I stayed away from any of my buds that I figured might be a little gung-ho.It paid off, no fuss no muss.

I still can't believe the size of him! I just quickly put a tape to him and was kind of shocked. Came up with 168 7/8 gross with a 2 1/8 sticker = 171" of horn!!

I was way off on the main beam lengths, I guessed 23" when actual is 27". He should net in the mid-150s as an 8 pointer! Pretty cool. I've guessed him to be about 6 1/2.

Check this out, I did see this buck last year. I almost got a shot at him on Dec.5th. I wrote about it this forum but I'm no good with the search feature. Here's a couple of notes from last years hunts.

54) 11/25/06 5 Fawns, 3 Does, 1 1/2 spike, 1 1/2 4 pt., 4 1/2 (5x3) and 5 1/2+ 10 pt (9 pt w/sticker on g-2) Tall stand, SW wind.** **

58) 12/5/06 2 does, 4 fawns and the 160" 9 pt. South stand, SSW wind. **

Incidentally, I shot him from the South stand listed above. Kinda neat.

I'll rescore him when I get the antlers back from the taxi in a couple of days to get a more accurate score.
