To say I'm a bit excited would be an understatement!

I'm a North Texas boy, but my first Bowhunt will be taking place in the Northwoods of Wisconson, near Rice Lake. This was the place I took my first deer, period, with a gun.

I love it up there, and it will be my first trip back there since 2004! This time with a bow!

I got my Bow (a Mission X3) about 4 months ago. I have spent untold hours practicing, and 1 extra trip to the Pro-shop to get it all ironed out. I'm now comfortable with shots out to 40 yds, but really hope they are closer.

My good friend, who grew up there, and I, will be getting 10 good days of Hunting in. I'd love to come home with some meat, a buck would be a definite bonus; but just the chance to be in the Northwoods and bowhunting will be greatness!

Sorry for the rambling post...haha But as I sit here at 1 A.M. washing my hunting clothes, the anticipation has started to build, and I need an outlet!
