The larger bucks don't seem to want anything to do with calling in my area right now. I hit my Can call 3 or 4 times in several directions about 20 minutes apart..then hit a few short grunts in between with my Buck Roar. I've had younger bucks come storming in, usually all worked up.

Last weekend, my buddy and I hunted about 300 yards away from each other. He'd do his series of calls, then I'd do mine. We had 3 small bucks working back and forth between us. We were hunting over corn too, you could hear them breaking stalks trying to get to us...it was neat.
