As another gunsmith I wouldn't do it to any of my shotguns.

I really don't know what the point would be unless you wanted to delegate it is a slug gun only and wanted to wring out every bit of accuracy that might be available.

Unless you are shooting slugs, shotguns were never meant to be "accurate".
