Nice deer, but certainly not worth losing a friend.I would do this,knock on theland owners door, don't mention what your friend said, just introduce yourself as your buddies friend andtell him you were hunting the property with your friend who said it was ok,and you just wanted to take time to introduce yourself so that he would know who is on his land.

If what your friend said is true, the land owner will waste no time letting you know, but if he was lying, the land owner will probably respect you for taking time to meet him, and you may have hispermission rather than just your so called buddies.
