Default RE: Honest Hunting Accuracy

I do quite a bit of shooting with my flintlocks and don't find 3" groups at 100 all that hard on a calm day and with open sights. I try different stuff and see how they group but my concern is finding the proper sight- in to shoot the one shot bullseye. Once I am done working on the load and projectile I work on getting the first shot from a clean barrel in the bull; don't care where the second or fifth go as long as it's reasonably close. I don't take offhand shots at deer much beyond 60 yards and with a solid field rest I am as good as off the bench. All my treestands are built with shooting rails. When the hammer falls; something is going down.
