i can only guess but i think your wrong with your statement about the Natives....im sure they sat around and thought about their hunting setups all the time, you know why i can guess this with confidence? because they hunted for survival. their hunting methods were field tested for thousands ofyears....thats a lot of trial and error or trial and success...everytime they went out hunting it was do or die literally. i guarantee that they sat around and thought about their setups and techniques. they were notstupid.
I have never thought about it in this fashion and it makes an incredible amount of sense. They had to think about these things in order to pass them on to others (young hunters especially)and certainly when something went very well they had to share it amongst themselves as when something went badly too.
For the most part they didn't hunt with half the restrictions we put on ourselves today. Really is easy to kill an animal without the restrictions. One reason the deer herd was reduced to a mere few in this country so quickly not to long ago. Buffalo are still not much more than a zoo animal.
They weren't very ethical. No offense intended.
