I see a problem here in Pa on a farm I hunt sometimes. Guys are shooting all the adult does and there's way too many immature ones left. There needs to be a balance. EAB works in some states pretty well here in Pa we don't have that program. Like rybo said though the BB are in danger of being shot by those guys who don't care to look first.
No that isnt a problem at all. Thats the point of an EAB system is to thin the herd down. By killing adult does your gonna reduce the herd by alot more because most adult does have 1-3 fawns a year, ((average of1.5-2 fawns in most places unless there is a high death rate for some reason))and a 6 month old fawn being bred is either not gonna take or she is gonna have1 fawn in the spring ((with an average of one fawn for every 2 doe fawns/yearlings by that age)).
