I' ve heard good things about the Marlin Guide Guns 45-70 and 450 Marlin as bear medicene. I' m betting you' ll like the 338WinMag a lot -- fairly close to the 375HH in terms of power with less recoil, lighter rifle, and easier to find ammo! Available with big bullets (275gr) or small (200' s) shoots fast and flat -- it don' t get much better for NA.
