My son has a H+R 158 in 30-30 and he shot several deer with it and a moose last fall.In the hinge action I prefer a rimmed cartridge as the rimless can hang up[some had problems with the .243 in this gun]His shoots MOA every day any day so for a $100 trainer for the kids who's complaining.Too bad there're not made in .303 British or 30-40 Krag!
