Perhaps. But I think it varies by locale. Causes are many, but I think the "subdividing of America" has a LOTto do with it- at least around here, anyway......
Definately a problem. Farms that haven't sold out to subdivide make a lot of money from hunting leases. They run upwards of $1000/person in my area, and in the trophy buck areas along the Mississipi river, they run much higher. On the other hand, the northern 1/2 of my my state is mostly state/National/county forest land and is very sparsely populatedthat anyone can hunt. Yeah the hunting isn't as great as in the the Trophy managed areas of the state, but then again, you don't have tofilthy richto hunt there.
