Default RE: New Remington 710 rifle

I would like to say this. I have been shopping for a new rifle for 3 years now and I found one that I liked. Granted the Remington is pretty accurate out of the box most of the time but that is the only thing it has going for it. Every Remington 710 that I picked up whether it b at Gander Mountain, Dicks Sporting Goods, Cabelas, Walmart, or the friendly local gun shop. Every single one of them the bolt was rough and akward. I didn't care for the akwardness of the safety either. I myself just picked up a Savage model 116 FHSS chambered in 30.06. And with mounting and boresighting a 4-12x40 Simmons scope I am putting 1 inch groups together at 100 yards with Federal Vital-Shok 165 Grain Nosler Ballistic Tip rounds. I love this rifle and I think u would b better off with a Savage. I have shot Remingtons and Savages and I would pick a Savage package series over the Remington 710 Series anyday hands down
