Well your choice of a 45-70 is a great choice for Moose, Elk, and Bear.As for the recoil it will have either close to the same ammount or more recoil then your 30-06. It all depends on the weight of the gun and how it fits you. The 44 Mag would work for deer at the ranges you shoot but i wouldnt take it for Moose or Bear. May i also suggest a lever gun in 30-30 or 35 Whelen. They are both great calibers have ammot that is not hard or too expensive to get, and also dont have much recoil.
