Default RE: Do you shoot Traditional, Inline, or Both?

Yes.........

I have taken a (1) deer with the inline and while it was an interesting experience, I liken it to a centerfire. This year I will be using a flintlock with PRB. I hunt deer on my own or with one other hunting partner who also uses black powder (inline). Now if I were to hunt with a gang who used a CF's well the inline would be the prudent choice with the boy's.

Now for moose, I use the inline. I hunt with a gang who use centerfires. I use it for the extra whomp I can get from it without sacrificing a ton of range (I'm good to 200). If I were to hunt moose on my own (which isn't really a bright idea at my age [:@]) or with a single partnerI would consider the traditional style.

Bear are generally a one shot deal over bait and a traditional would do just fine.

To me it's the additional challenge. If I have to eat beef[:@][:'(]instead of deer due to the restrictions of my firearm of choice....so be it. That is something I can live with. When I'm part of a gang, I have to be able to do my part for the gang and not be so restrictive.
