There are certain places deer and elk hole up when it is extremely windy. These conditions make them real nervous; since they can't smell anything except what is straight upwind from them, can't hear squat, and everything around them is in constant movement. They tend to lay up and focus their attention on the area directly downwind from them. If you know where these places are and can stalk in there with little movement, high winds can actually be a plus. Shootin in the wind sure sucks, though
