From some of the above post it sounds like someone had heard or seen the other person shoot the deer and then waited til they left to go get help or a vehicle to haul it out and then purposely stole the deer.....how could you feel proud about stealing another persons deer?
Are you referring to my post when you say the "post above" or to the one that started the thread. If you're referring to mine, I can assure that both my buddy and I were out to our stands before daybreak and, as I mentioned, did not hear any gunfire that sounded as though it came from particularly close by. From the angle he shot it (evidenced by the entry and exit holes), he would not have even been able to see the first hole. We knew the local landowners and who hunted where--even where the stands were--for safety's sake. There was no tension or bad blood between anyone. He was in no way attempting to get someone else's deer.
