Lone Wolf Hang Ons vs. Climbers
Ok, this is kind of a book, but please bear with me.I want a Lone wolf pretty bad. I've read some reviews but I can't decide if I should get a climber or hang on. A simple solution would be to have both, but as a poor college student that's not an option.I have used some climbers before but didn't like them because of the noise and bulk. I have always had a thing for hang ons because I could put them in a lot of different trees. I use pegs and can get high enough with only six. I like how solid hang ons feel opposed to the climbersI've used in the past as well. The main thing that worries me about a climbers is looking like a big blob on a skinny tree.Iwill be hunting public ground for the first time this year and don't have a lotof time to spend scouting because of school. So I will be hunting with a "grab and go" style. I thought if I got the alpha assault hang on I could pack it around and hoist it up a tree with ease. I guess my questions are: does anyone have an assault hang on? And do they really weigh 8.5 lbs? Would I be better off with the climber?
