I always carry my stand on my back going up - just use a line's man rope when you get to the top. I use a lone wolf full body harness. i sold my lone wolf hang on to my buddy and now use a millenium hang on. most of my stands i already have steps and brackets for the stand up but i keep an extra bracket and set of lw sticks for new spots. the comfort is so amazing on that millenium stand i had to go for it.the lone wolf hang on is easier to pack in and fits on more trees because of it's adjustability. both really awesome, they hang in about the same amount of time, maybe a little more exertion with the lone wolf but not much.
