RE: Would you hit balls all year to play just 18 holes?
I've avoided actually answerring the question, cuz I don't know how to answer. It's all I know..Thats how we (I) was brought into hunting.1 Buck be it gun, flint, bow. I got on a couple streaks where I went 10+ years getting my one buck a year. Guys doubted me.. if I told of my yearly successes...now I see some of the total kills, guys post. It's staggerring! Of course I took my first doe (since 1978)last year. So I was brought up on the we don't kill no stinking doe "old school" mentallity (Regional).
I guess like others said I shoot my bow cuz it's fun..I would shoot given no season what-so-ever.
I also know that 98% of the time when Deerhunting, I'm gonna come home empty-handed. Never thought of that as failure.Perhaps as we mature as hunters thats why we pass, and wait on the better buck.
Hell I've hit tens of thousands of practice balls and never had a hole-in-one..will that make the expirience more or less exciting???
