Default RE: Biggest deer in Texas (PHOTOS)

Hello first post here, I live and hunt in Texas and I have been following this thread for a few days, great buck Mark it was a real treat just to see the photos, but to know that someone who has worked hard to manage their deer herd actually got to take him is cool. Congratulations and keepthe photos coming.
I have been lucky enough to have a family spot to hunt for a few years so I don't haveany personal experience with having to pay for a big buck. I do have a friend who has gone on an annual pay hunt in South Texas for a number of years, so as an example of cost I will use his experiences. The ranch he goes to is all inclusive, food, drinks, room, processing etc. his base price for a 4 day hunt is $3500 and that gets hima management buck hunt (120-130 class), after that trophy fees apply generally around $150 per inch. He killed a 164" deer a few years ago that ended up costing him about $9000 after tips. He will tell you it was worth every penny... I see it as a down payment on my own place.
