Default RE: land with no electricity

i just talked with a friend of mine that had this to say.

his brother bought some land and built a hunting cabin the elec. company wonted 10 grand to run the wire to his house. Had to run a 1mile of poles and wire to get there

He said no and went back to his gen.

They said ok how about five grand he said no. They then came back and said ok 2500 he said noi again .

He went and bought a few batterys from trains and bought a altenater for a car hooked the altenater up to a gas lawnmower engine to charge the batterys and i gusses his light bill is about 10 dollors or so amonth for gas

if there are poles close to you you can get it hooked up cheap or free

the guy whose land i hunt had his hooked up and they had to put in three poles from his dad house and did not charge him a dime expect going under the highway and that cost 1500
