Default RE: Should crossbow kills be recognized for p&y record book?

The effective range is the same, they both use strings and arrows, projectile speed is the same, accuracy is similar, so I don't see why not. Compounds are smaller and quieter than crossbows and have a greater rate of fire. That said, Pope and Young is a private entity and they can do what they like. If they decide carbon arrows don't count in their book, then they won't count in their book, and there's no way they can make me care about what they do. If by the grace of God I connect on a 200 inch buck, the last thing on my mind will be whether the people at Pope and Young like my weapon.
