Factors:

* Size of herd
* No. of hunters in state/zone
* Success rate of hunters in said
* Etc...

We can archery hunt in NC from the first weekend in Sept. through mid-December in my zone of NC. I wouldn't be surprised to see that lengthened to the end of the year, soon (already is on the Eastern zones). We have a lot of deer....but not a lot of hunters. For example.....our herd is relatively close to PA's. The have 4X the amt. of hunters.
