There beyond tight lipped! A cattle prod in their @#$%^& might,get them to gobble,and thats a BIG might. I think the state had all the voice boxes removed from all the turks they claim to have planted....Spent 2 full days hunting, around the Capitol state forest area and found a half a handful of turds(no doubt sprinkled about about by WDFW staff) and not so much as a peep! Everyone I talk too, that hunts down southwest says "their doing great!!" Well if what I seen was "doing great", than just fair must mean extinct. Just what do these birds eat in the early spring, is keying in on food sorce the key? What kind of habitat do they prefer, second growth, reprod, recent cuttings, alder thickets? They don't seem to be anything like easter washington birds, yes I know their a different speices, but there becomes a point, where a turkey is a turkey is a turkey!
