Default RE: Rifle Hunting. Whats your take??

ORIGINAL: DropTine249

Exactly Early. Most gun hunters and especially diver/pushers dont experience wildlife in its truest form. This year, the Lord has blessed me with several awesome hunts. Numerous deer from right under my stand on out to 100 yards plus. But, Ive got to watch them in their natural ways, un pressured, un interupted. I just dont foresee being able to have such an upclose and personal experience with a deer with gun in hand. Its about the experience as a whole, not just killing a beautiful doe or monster buck. Keep up the bowhunting, best of luck !!
Posts like this make me think badly of bowhunters, and I love bowhunting. People who hunt with a firearm aren't lesser hunters, some just don't have thetime to bowhunt. The ones that do drives have probably been doing it as long as they've hunted. I've experienced deer in their natural, un pressured environment, and I love it, but hunting with a rifle doesn't mean this can't happen. In fact the only buck I saw last year during rifle season, 8pt. with~16" spread,I passed up two different mornings, once came right under mystandand the second time he was within20 yards, unpressured, just taking his time... in other words, in his natural state. Don't be so quick to judge.
