Which direction is the cam facing (north, south, east, west)? Are all your white-out pics around the same time (am or pm)? My father-in-law had this same problem, and I did a little reading on some forums and found that if you make sure that your cam is facing north OR south, the sun can't shine directly into the lens, whiting-out the pic. I know with several cams, the sun will also make the cam falsely trigger. By facing the camera directly north or south, the sun has a harder time shinning directly into the lens, causing a white-out. Try it and see if that helps...I know that it helped my father-in-laws camera.
