Yeah, keeping your boots in with your clothes is a no-no as well. I must've missed that part. The inside of your boots is probably the worst smelling part on any item of gear/clothing you bring into the woods. That's why it is recommended that you put your pants OVER the top of your boots. If you don't, the scent from yoru boots is constantly escaping out of the top as the moisture and heat rises out of the top.
Keeping your boots in with your clothes just exposes all of your clothes to the nasty boot-smell. Pesonally, I keep my rubber boots out on my porch, or in their own rubbermaid container by themselves with another HS Scent Wafer in the bottom. I figure if any smell is going to permeate the rubber and stay in there, I'd rather have it be the Fresh Earth scent than anything else.
