Your assesment is the same as mine. I notice the same attitudes on this forum, in magazines, and on TV. The funny thing is, when I hunt at home (MI) I have the Michigan mentality. But when I go out of state (for example Illinois), my whole mindset changes and I start thinking like I grew up in Pike County. Then as soon as I'm home, it's back to "brown its down".
I think stereotypes are created for a reason. There is usually some truth in stereotypes, as bad as that sounds.
