Default And they say the big flocks aren't here yet

Just an update from Manitoba to you guys down south. I've been hunting just west of Oak Hammock Marsh north of Winnipeg for the last 2 weekends. I've limitted out each morning (5 Cdn Geese), each morning with in an hour after sun up (as well as 3 or 4 mallards and a couple of teal each day). Each Sat. morning on the radio on the way up they give a report from Oak Hammock on the day's activities and the bird count. Last Sat. the guy from the marsh stated that they have only about 100,000 geese there right now and the big flocks haven't started moving in from up north. He also stated that they are expecting 6-7 million to come through over the next 7 weeks. Good thing it was thanksgiving last weekend so could roast up a few for the family (now some room in the freezer for next weekend). Get ready boys...here they come. (by the way, I'm not even using any decoys or calling, just sitting in the long grass off a field)
