My dad has a nice 8pt. scull and antlers from a deer he killed a few years ago. My dad debated on having a shoulder mount done but decided not to because he had a deer on the wall relatively the same size. The importance of this deer is that my grandpa was with him the day it was taken. My grandpa got my dad into hunting and fishing from the time he was old enough to walk. He mainly hunted squirrels, rabbits, doves, and other small game. My dad then went on to start hunting deer and turkey when he was an adult. He got my grandpa into deer hunting about three years before this 8pt. was taken. We tried hard to get grandpa a deer because we knew he wouldn't be able to go much longer. The season dad killed this 8pt., grandpa was also with my younger brother and I as we each killed a doe. Grandpa passed away before the next deer season and my dad has often said if he would have known that would have been their last hunting trip together, he would have mounted that deer. I would like to get this deer put on a plaque with a picture of the two of them standing next to the deer the day it was killed.Do any of you guys know where to get a plack that would fit a skull mount , a 4"x8" picture, and possibly a small brass inscription piece. Any help on this, or any other ideas that would help memorialize that hunt would be greatly appreciated. I would like to give it to my dad on christmas. thanks guys!
