I hope you understand exactly what Wilds is saying because he is right on the mark with this one. Just take a look up this way with what is going on with the Maine trappers because of a chance that a lynx, bald eagle, or a wolve might get caught in a trappers trap. Maine is in court still battleing it out with all those wacko groups that are against trapping, hunting, and fishing anyways. Also when you here that wolves are up here, they do not exist unless put here illegally. The state will not put them here as coyotes have been breeding with them so they couldn't exist even if they were put here. As they would be bred out in a relatively short time frame. So as much as we do not like the eastern coyote they have stopped any wolve re-introductions here.
Now if they have any mountain lions here, as Wilds said, it would be nothing but bad news for all of us. So sometimes you just have to let the lionrest sort of to say and just walk by. I still may want to take a picture of one but, not for the purpose of saying here is proof, but rather just to have it. They do appear to look quite different than the western cousins but they still do not exist...
