I dont think the run is winding down at all! I think it's going to get better if anything. Well at least for the mid to lower part of the state. It might be peaking in the northern half, not sure though. I'm pretty sure the U.P. should be slowing down now. You can check the fishing report at the DNR's website. I beleive it's updated every thursday(don't hold me to it though).

I went to the Pere Marquette river the first two weekends of september when we had our first cold spell of the season, and they had started running but not in full force. But with this warm spell we've had i'm not sure they are at their peak yet there. I do beleive the rain will bring in some freshies though. And some more cold weather will for sure seal the deal.

This king was taken the second weekend of september off a pink yarn egg. Caught him at 4:30 in the morning(yep we fished sun down to sun up).
