Every year “early” rut activity is observed by a few people and “an early rut” conclusion is jumped to. Actually in my areas, I’ve seen far less activity this year than in the past. I think the moon and weather have a great impact on how much rutting activity we get to see during daylight hours, but the does still peak around the same time (within a few days) each year.
