Default RE: hornady 200 grain xtp

I am curious about the performance of these bullets also.

I have a chopped-down (19" barrel) FIE "Kentucky" rifle that seems to prefer the saboted XTPs over any other projectile I've shot through it. I'm planning to try it on W. Texas Mulies this winter.

I'm a little concerned about this hangun bullet 'blowing-up' at high velocities, it seems that hphandgun bullets are designed for maximum efficiency at handgun velocities... I'm driving mine out at about 1400 fps. I'll be hoping to get my shots in at 50 yds or closer (Mulies ain't as smart as whitetails, I've found, I've been lucky enough to bag three with my .45 CVA Kentucky and Maxi's).

Hopefully I'll have some terminal ballistics reports to post on the XTParound mid-December.
