Default help a novice with his strategy

first off, i'd like to say that i've been lurking forseveral months and this site has been a great resource for me, since none of my family members or friends bow hunt (or deer hunt really).

anyhow, i'm hunting a little stretch of power line right of way (100' wide) that follows the saluda river in sc. i plantedit ina fall mix and have seen a bunch of does so far. well, this past monday while hunting, i turned around to investigate the sound of animals walking right behind me, which turned out to be three raccoons. when i eased my head back around there was a nice8 ptlooking right at me- i dont think i spooked him that bad because i had on full camo head to toe and scent was a non issue; he just turned around and trotted back into the woods, tail down.

yesterday i took advantage of the rain and sneaked around in the woods, thepart that he entered the plotfrom, and found a fresh rub line along an old logging road about 50 yards inside the woods.

so the question is: should i move into the woods and hunt his rub line or stay in my food plot, climb a different tree, and hope he comes back? i've killed plenty of does in the past with a rifle, but never a buck. so needless to say, i'd really like topin down this deer and make him my first bow kill and first big buck. thanks for your help
