There is no pain in pulling a hand release. At least none I've tried. I shoot the Tru fire 3d camo hunter. Things I like best about it, leave hands free to do things and not worry about clanking, and you can clip it to the string in your stand and put your hand in your pocket and not have to worry about dinking around getting hooked in.
When you clip it to the nock, it won't come undone? How much does the Tru Fire hand release cost? Have you shot other hand releases?
