Just used it last Friday, and it worked great. Its really nice to disconnect the intestines in about two seconds when its zero dark thirty, and you want to get to bed. I do agreet that it is an extra piece of equipment. But it really does work nice. Pull, tie, and cut. I personally hate "ringing" the anus. Just make sure and wipe the poop off when youre done....Horse a piece when you talk about extra equipment, but for speed it cant be beat. IMO.. To each his own I guess...Good luck this year guys.
